Scouting Programs

Girl Scouts

Troop 653 is a multilevel Girl Scout Troop from grades K – 12 with volunteer adult leaders at each of the following levels:
Daisies, Brownies Juniors, Cadets, Seniors and Ambassadors.

Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 7:30pm

Cub Scouts

Pack 25 is for young boys in grades 1-5. Cubs are grouped into dens by grade for the following levels:
Tiger cubs (1st Grade), Wolf cubs(2nd Grade), Bear Cubs (3rd Grade), Webelos 1 (4th Grade) and Webelos 2 (5th Grade).
The 5 Dens are part of the Pack, and the Cub master is the main leader, among many other volunteers.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 7:30pm

Boy Scouts

Troop 25 is for young men, grades 6-12. The scouts lead the troop in conjunction with adults volunteers.

Meetings are helf on the 2nd , 3rd and 4th Fridays of the month.

EOCS (Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting)

EOCS is a volunteer group that helps to run an Autumn Scout Religious Retreat and a Spring Scout Camporee, both at St. Basil’s each year.

Our mission statement begins as follows: “Support and conduct the mission of our Lord and His church via the scouting program”.

We encourage the scouts to earn the three religious awards for scouting, the St. George, the Chi Rho, and the Alpha Omega.
